Top Selling Games for Nintendo Wii

The Wii first arrived on the very competitive scene of 'video game systems' in 2006. There was great anticipation on this new arrival and many were anxious to get their hands on the first units sold. That 2006 holiday season saw the release of 4 million Wii systems globally and four years later outsells it's competitors.

Today, Wii is considered to be the most popular gaming system out there. That is a topic that is greatly discussed among video game enthusiast as too which is the best gaming system out there on the market. But then, Nintendo has always been a tough competitor and backed up by a reputation of quality products. Even us non-gamers know the name Nintendo.

When shopping for a console many have package deals with some games and accessories included. There can be some great deals out there if you know what and where to look. Check if a store has a Senior Day, watch their ads, coupons, or some stores like Sears do a friends/family deal about 4 times a year with some great discounts.

Red Steel:

Developed by Ubisoft Paris and made it debut in 2006. Red Steel II was released in March 2010. Red Steel has been popular even though it has received mixed reviews. One complaint is the sword fighting seems slow and sluggish with one reviewer commenting that it was more like to cavemen battling each other.

Legend of Zelda:

Awaiting the release of the sixteenth installment 'Skyward Sword' and for this edition the controls have been revised for better sword play. The flow is better with less interruptions. The Zelda series of games are developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development.

NASCAR 2011:

Captures the atmosphere of racing. A player can play as themselves or real drivers and pick which of the 22 tracks to race on. Better practice on those pit stops. Lets go racing!

Just Dance 3:

Just Dance 3 was released in October 7, 2011 and is still very popular music video game. A players earns point depending on the type of moves they make. 40 all new track of top of the charts music. From oldies like Donna Summers to Cee Lo Green there is something for everyone.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

The Call of Duty series when first released set records for most sold. Modern Warfare 3 has smashed sales in less than four days after it's release Nov. 8, 2011. Many of the reviewers are saying the Wii edition is the best even if the graphics are not as good as with using an Xbox.

You can be a big game hunter and track down ferocious animals through the wilderness. Teen Rated.

We Ski:

Race down the slopes on 14 different course's to choose from. You can also ski at night while fireworks shoot off in the distance. Everyone rated.

Bloom Box:

Can play up to 4 players at once with over 30 Wacky Characters set in 5 Unique Worlds.  Part of the collaboration came from director/producer Steven Spielberg.

With times being tough many of us are looking to make buying non-essentials affordable so we can still enjoy the fun stuff.
